Dr. Kali Simmonds

Dr. Kali Simmonds, N.D. is a licensed naturopathic doctor. She has been in private practice for 10 years at 34 Queen St. and is the owner of two health food stores called The Root Cellar. Kali received her Bachelor of Science Degree from U.P.E.I. in 1994. In 1998 she received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, and was then licensed through NPLEX. She practiced in a multidisciplinary clinic with medical doctors, chiropractors, and massage therapists for 1 year before returning home to PEI in 1999. Kali and her husband Pat have 4 sons and a daughter. Dr. Simmonds’ enjoys working with her dear friend Dr. Lana McMurrer  and sister Dr. Nara Simmonds in Charlottetown.

Dr. Lana McMurrer

Dr. Lana McMurrer, N.D is a licensed naturopathic doctor. Dr. McMurrer, a native Islander born and raised in Stratford, graduated from U.P.E.I. in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Always interested in nutrition and good health practices, Lana decided a career in naturopathy would give her the opportunity to help people achieve better health. In 2006 she received a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto and is licensed through NPLEX. Dr. McMurrer maintains a general family practice which includes pediatrics to geriatrics. She uses a wide variety of therapies to treat the cause of disease, personalizing each treatment plan.

Dr. Nara Simmonds

Dr. Nara Simmonds, N.D. is a licensed naturopathic doctor. Dr. Simmonds  has 11 years experience in the health food and supplements business. She worked at the Root Cellar while obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree at UPEI, and upon graduating took on the role of Manager for 2 years. After a year abroad, her strong family ties to health and nutrition brought her back home to pursue an education in naturopathic medicine. In 2010, she received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, and is licensed through NPLEX. Dr. Simmonds is thrilled to be joining her sister Dr. Kali Simmonds and friend Dr.Lana McMurrer at Simmonds McMurrer Naturopathic Medicine. She is now welcoming new patients to her general family practice.
